2.0: When Salman Khan left Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar surprised. See pics of jab they met
It was a rare occasion when three actors — Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan — shared the same stage at the launch of S Shankar’s 2.0. While the Rajinikanth film stars Akshay Kumar as the villain, it was Salman Khan who eventually became the cynosure at the launch. Salman and Rajinikanth share a great rapport and have often praised each other on different platforms. Salman is also often called Bollywood’s Rajinikanth. Salman said at the event, “I have just come to see him (Rajinikanth). I think he is the most amazing man known. I have a lot of respect for him. I was not invited. - Just minutes before the brief 2.0’s Q and A with the media was slated to begin, a team member of Rajinikanth-starrer 2.0 rushed towards Akshay Kumar and whispered something in his ear while pointing in the direction of the entrance door. Akshay immediately got up from his chair, walked up to the entrance and welcomed Salman who seemed to have walked in almost towards the fag end. Talking about Akshay at the 2.0 event, Salman said, “I think he is one of the most talented actors we have. I have worked with him. He is phenomenal. I think, if anyone have had a growth in his acting career, as a performer, from our side is only Akshay Kumar. We all remain stagnant, but he the only one who keeps on growing. - Salman went on to narrate an incident.” We were once doing a shoot together – jumma chumma. And when I went to the bathroom, Rajini garu was there throwing a cigarette and catching it with his mouth. I asked him, “What are you doing?” He said, “There is a lot of wind outside. So I am doing it here.” It was an open air concert and very cold and windy outside. - Salman also had high words of praise for Akshay Kumar. Calling him Akki, Salman said, “He is very talented and hardworking.
