Annaatthe: Rajinikanth to join the sets of Siruthai Siva directorial soon?

Directed by Siruthai Siva, Annaatthe is touted to be a rural drama, with four actresses on board as the leading ladies.

A while back, it was reported that director Siruthai Siva had met with Rajinikanth and discussed about restarting the shooting of Annaatthe. Now, hearsay has that the film’s shooting will be started by the end of this month or in the first week of March. Rajinikanth, who issued a press note a couple of months back, stated that he was asked to take ample rest before rejoining work, as his blood pressure levels were fluctuating and due to the pandemic.

The film’s shooting was initially brought to a halt as four crew members tested positive for COVID 19. Later, Rajinikanth, who was observing self quarantine at a hotel in Hyderabad, fell sick and was treated at Apollo Hospital. Ever since his health went for a toss, the film’s shooting has not been resumed. Though the makers did not announce when would they restart the shooting process, it was officially announced that the film will hit the big screens on Diwali 2021.

Annaatthe is touted to be a rural drama and it has three leading ladies namely Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Khushbu Sundar and Meena. The film also stars Prakash Raj, Soori and Sathish in key roles. The shooting is expected to be restarted at the Hyderabad Ramoji Film City, where it was happening at a brisk pace before the chaos. It is expected that Sun Pictures, who is bankrolling the project, will soon officially announce when the shooting would be restarted.
