Annaatthe: Rajinikanth to resume shoot of Siruthai Siva film in November?
The shoot of Rajinikanth, Nayanthara and Keerthy Suresh-starrer Annaatthe is likely to resume in November. A grand set has been erected in Chennai.
The makers of Superstar Rajinikanth’s much-anticipated film, Annaatthe, are planning to resume the shoot in November, adhering to government rules and regulations. Annaatthe, directed by Siruthai Siva, has been in the making since December 2019. They were supposed to wrap up the shoot in April. However, due to outbreak of the novel coronavirus, the production work had to be stopped.
The latest update is that the team has decided to resume the film’s shoot from November. While portions involving Nayanthara and Keerthy Suresh will be shot in November, Rajinikanth has decided to join the sets in December. The team wanted to complete the film early next year, as they might release the film in summer 2021.
Annaatthe was initially scheduled to hit the screens on Diwali 2020. Now, things got postponed due to Covid-19 crisis. An official announcement regarding the film’s shooting schedule will be made in the coming weeks. Sources also say that the team is currently busy erecting a huge set in the outskirts of Chennai.
It is worth mentioning that the the first-look poster of the film was released a few weeks before the lockdown.
Annaatthe is directed by Siruthai Siva and stars many popular actors including Khushbu, Nayanthara, Meena, Keerthy Suresh, Prakash Raj and Soori in important roles. D Imman, who had previously worked with Siruthai Siva in Ajith’s Viswasam, has been roped in to compose music for the project.
The film went on floors in December last year and major portions of it were shot in Ramoji Rao Film City, Hyderabad.
