‘Annaatthe’ vs ‘Vikram’: The two legends of Tamil cinema Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan to clash at the box office this Diwali
Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan have often clashed at the box office, in a bid to entertain fans with their movies. And the audience will witness yet another fight as the legends are eyeing the same release date. While Rajinikanth starrer ‘Annaatthe’ has already been announced for release during Diwali, the makers of Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vikram‘ are also reportedly planning to release the film on the same festive occasion.
Even though there has been no official word about this, ‘Annaatthe’ and ‘Vikram’ releasing on the same day will definitely be a massive treat for fans. Interestingly, the two top stars will be clashing at the box office after 16 years, as their films ‘Chandramukhi’ and ‘Mumbai Xpress’ were released together during the 2005 Tamil New Year.
Recently, both Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan started shooting for their respective films, and their pictures from the sets have been going viral on social media.
Rajinikanth is reportedly playing the role of a village president in ‘Annaatthe’, which is being directed by Siruthai Siva, and produced by Sun Pictures. On the other hand, Kamal Haasan has joined hands with director Lokesh Kanagaraj for ‘Vikram’, and he is rumoured to be playing the role of a cop in the film.
