Jagapathi Babu joins the star cast of Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe
Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe has started its Chennai shooting schedule. The Siva directorial has an ensemble cast that includes Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Khushbu, Meena among others. Writer and actor Vela Ramamoorthy is also part of Annaatthe. Now it has been announced that actor Jagapathi Babu has joined the star cast of the Superstar movie. Jagapathi Babu had earlier acted with Rajinikanth in Lingaa and the actor has been part of Vijay Sethupathi and Shruthi Haasan-starrer Laabam which was directed by late SP Jhananathan. The movie is currently in the post-production stage.
Annaatthe’s music is scored by D Imman and it is said that the movie, a family drama revolves around the affection between a brother and sisters. The movie which started its shooting in 2019 had to stoop shooting due to the lockdown and when they later resumed shooting in December 2020, a few crew members tested positive for the coronavirus, forcing the team to put the shoot on hold for an indefinite time.
While it was expected that the movie will resume shooting only after the elections, the producers of the movie had announced its release date as November 4, 2021 and the crew has now started its shooting in Chennai.
