Karthik Subbaraj releases an unseen Rajini still from Petta
On Thursday, Superstar Rajinikanth became the fourth Kollywood celebrity to receive the honourable Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his contribution to cinema. Several celebrities from different film industries across the country and politicians, including the Prime Minister himself, had congratulated the star. An elated Rajini had taken to his Twitter account to thank his fans and others who played pivotal role in his life for making him what he is today. Director Karthik Subbaraj, a self-confessed fan of Thalaivar, who directed him in Petta, surprised the latter’s fans by posting an unseen still of Rajini shot on the location of Petta from his Twitter account.
His tweet read, “#DadasahebPhalkeAward Special for #Thalaivar fans….. #Petta Unreleased. Congratulations Thalaivaa.” The young filmmaker, who is busy with #Chiyaan60, had congratulated his matinee idol on Thursday by retweeting Rajini’s tweet. He posted, “Congratulations Thalaivaaaa…..” with the hashtags #DadasahebPhalkeAward and #Thalaivar.
