Lawrence tenders apology to fans of Superstar Rajinikanth
Though it has been two weeks since Superstar Rajinikanth had announced that he won’t foray into politics, his die-hard fans are yet to come to terms with it. Many of them took to streets recently, requesting their matinee idol to reconsider his decision. The next day, the star took to social media to request his fans not to make such requests as he had clearly mentioned why he backed out of entering politics. Interestingly, many of his fans have been making requests to actor-filmmaker-choreographer Lawrence to speak to Rajini to change the latter’s decision. However, Lawrence took to Twitter asking fans not to compel him to talk to Superstar about the same, and added that fans should respect his decision.
His tweet read, “Many people requested me to join the protest at Valluvar Kottam. I also heard many voice notes which came through director Sai Ramani and even now many people are asking me to request Thalaivar to change his decision. That’s why I’m making this statement now. I’m also going through the same pain you all are feeling due to his decision. If Thalaivar told any other decisions, we could have requested him, but Thalaivar’s main reason is his health. If we request him and he changes his decision again, and if something happens to him, we all have to live with that guilt our entire life. Even without entering politics, he will always remain my guru. I know about his health condition as I speak to him closely. Now, all we need to do is pray for his good health and peace. He will always remain in my prayers forever. Guruve saranam.”
