Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar’s 2.0 Beats Avengers: Infinity War and Baahubali, Creates This Record
Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s film 2.0 is on a record-breaking spree. First, its trailer garnered 25 million views in less than 24 hours on YouTube and now the film has crossed another milestone as its one million tickets have already been sold in advance, according to trade analyst Ramesh Bala.
The pre-sale numbers reported by Bala are much more than that of Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War and S S Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning.
A statement from Book my show also stated that over 1 million tickets have been booked on the site already for 2.0. Meanwhile, Thugs of Hindostan that released this Diwali collected over 50 crores on its opening day making it the highest opener of Indian cinema yet.
If this turns out to be true, 2.0 will have an exceptional box office collection on its opening day. The trade analysts are predicting its day one collection at Rs 100 crore worldwide.
Those who are planning to watch it on pirated versions will have a hard time laying their hands on it as the Madras High Court has directed 37 internet service providers (ISPs) to block over 12,000 websites that exhibit pirated versions of Tamil movies.
