Rajinikanth-starrer Annaatthe’s shoot suspended after 4 crew members test Covid positive
Sun Pictures said Superstar Rajinikanth and other crew members have tested negative for coronavirus.
The shooting of Superstar Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe has been suspended after four crew members tested positive for coronavirus during routine testing. Sun Pictures, the production house behind Annaatthe, took to Twitter to confirm the news. The production house added that Rajinikanth and other crew members have tested negative for COVID-19.
Sun Pictures shared a statement on Twitter. It read, “During routine testing at #Annaathe shoot 4 crew members have tested positive for Covid19. Superstar @rajinikanth and other crew members have tested negative. To ensure utmost safety #Annaatthe shooting has been postponed.”
The shooting of Annaatthe, which was hampered by the coronavirus-induced lockdown, was resumed in the second week of December. The production began in Hyderabad, with Rajinikanth, Nayanthara and others.
Rajinikanth had taken a chartered flight to Hyderabad along with his daughter Aishwarya Dhanush.
The production is in its last leg, and the filmmakers planned to finish it in a single stretch. Written and directed by Siva, Annaatthe boasts of an all-star supporting cast including Khushbu, Meena, Prakash Raj, Sathish and Soori.
