Rajinikanth to join the sets of Siruthai Siva’s Annaatthe on Dec 15
On the occasion Rajinikanth’s birthday, director Siruthai Siva announced that the shoot of his much-anticipated film, Annaatthe, will resume on December 15. Siruthai Siva, in a video message, wished superstar and revealed that Rajini will join the sets soon. Annaatthe has been in the making since December, last year. The team was supposed to complete the film in summer, this year. However, due to outbreak of the novel coronavirus, the production work got delayed.

Today (December 15), the producers of the film, Sun Pictures, shared Siruthai Siva’s video and wrote, “#Annaatthe shooting resumes from Dec 15th! @rajinikanth @directorsiva #HBDSuperstarAnnaatthe #HBDSuperstarRajinikanth (sic).”
Portions involving Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh and Rajinikanth will be shot at Ramoji Rao Film City, Hyderabad. The makers wanted to complete the film early next year, as they might release it in summer 2021.
Superstar will be travelling to Hyderabad in his car from Chennai. Sources also say that the team is planning to shoot few action sequences as well.
It is worth mentioning that the the first-look poster of the film was released a few weeks before the lockdown. Annaatthe is directed by Siruthai Siva and many actors including Khushbu, Nayanthara, Meena, Keerthy Suresh, Prakash Raj and Soori are part of the film. D Imman, who had previously worked with Siva in Ajith’s hit film Viswasam, has been roped in to compose music for the project.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth’s fans have taken by storm as he turns 70 today (December 12). Many celebrities in the country have been wishing Thalaivar on Twitter since morning.
