RMM sources confident of Rajini’s party launch on Dec 31

Chennai: RMM sources told DT Next on Monday that Arjuna Murthy, coordinator of Rajinikanth’s political party and Tamilaruvi Manian, who is supervising the launch of new outfit, met the actor at his residence and enquired about his health. A senior RMM functionary, seeking anonymity, also asserted that the launch of Rajinikanth’s party will be as per schedule.
“It was decided that the unveiling of our Thalaivar’s political party will be low-key affair,” he said and pointed out, “earlier it was discussed whether the party unveiling occasion could be organised at Tiruchy or Madurai on a grand scale and at present possibilities of organising the function in these cities are bleak.”
Claiming that there are fewer chances of postponing the political party launch, the RMM cadre said, “Suggestions are also given to launch the party as per schedule through video conferencing on our leader’s social media.” Pointing out that the launch of a political party will be announced officially by Rajinikanth either via social media or through a proper statement, he said, “at present, there is no plan to conduct any gala function even in Chennai to launch the political party.”
The RMM functionary also said that during the political outfit launch, the design of the flag and party’s symbol will also be released. “At the same time, various party posting list of district wise and even zone wise will also be announced to carry out poll-related works,” he said adding “mostly all the RMM district sectaries might be declared head of their respective region.”
However, the RMM cadre also hinted if the launch of the political party was postponed, which is unlikely, it might be unveiled either on Pongal day (January 14) or MGR’s birth anniversary, which falls on January 17.
