2.0 VFX breakdown: Shankar’s three years of extraordinary hard work
After the blockbuster success of the action drama ‘Sivaji’, Shankar and Rajinikanth teamed up again for the science fiction action film ‘Enthiran’ in 2010. It also received tremendous response from the fans and turned out as the highest-grossing film in Tamil. A few years later, the victorious duo again joined for ‘2.0‘ the sequel to ‘Enthiran’, and it did wonder at the ticket window.
Shankar announced ‘Enthiran’ sequel with Rajinikanth in 2015, and the director took a comfortable time to kick start the science fiction action drama. He had also brought in Hollywood specialists to work on the visual effects for the high budget film. Shankar then completed the shooting of ‘2.0’ in 2017 and took one year to deliver a perfect output to the fans. Now, the recently released VFX breakdown of 2.0 tells the fans how the director has worked keenly on making the film, and the magnificent making is sure to surprises the fans.
2.0 features Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson, and Sudhanshu Pandey in the main roles, while the music was composed by AR Rahman. The film was released simultaneously in both 3D and conventional, and it reportedly grossed more than Rs 500 crore at the worldwide box office.
