Annaatthe: Rajinikanth to join the sets of Siruthai Siva’s film on October 10

The makers of Superstar Rajinikanth’s much-anticipated film, Annaatthe, have decided to resume the shoot on October 10, adhering to government rules and regulations. Annaatthe, directed by Siruthai Siva, has been in the making since December, last year. The team was supposed to complete the film in summer, this year. However, due to outbreak of the novel coronavirus, the production work got delayed.

According to the latest report, Rajinikanth himself will join the sets of the film on October 10 in Hyderabad. Portions involving Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh and Rajinikanth will be shot at Ramoji Rao Film City, Hyderabad. The makers wanted to complete the film early next year, as they might release it in summer 2021.

Superstar will be travelling to Hyderabad in his car from Chennai. The rest of the actors will be reaching Hyderabad in a couple of days.

Annaatthe was initially scheduled to hit the screens on Diwali 2020. Now, things got postponed due to Covid-19 crisis. An official announcement regarding the film’s shooting schedule will be made in the coming weeks. Sources also say that the team is planning to shoot few action sequences in Chennai as well.

It is worth mentioning that the the first-look poster of the film was released a few weeks before the lockdown.

Annaatthe is directed by Siruthai Siva and many actors including Khushbu, Nayanthara, Meena, Keerthy Suresh, Prakash Raj and Soori are part of the film. D Imman, who had previously worked with Siva in Ajith’s hit film Viswasam, has been roped in to compose music for the project.

The film went on floors in December last year at Ramoji Rao Film City, Hyderabad.
