Rajinikanth – Akshay Kumar’s ‘2.0’ bigger than ‘Baahubali’, ‘Dangal’?
Mumbai: Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’ may have received lukewarm response at the Box Office but his next – ‘2.0’ – is certainly going to be his biggest film for sure. Going by the latest buzz, it looks likely that the Shankar directorial will derail the records set by SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’ starring Prabhas and Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Dangal’ featuring Aamir Khan.
‘2.0’, a sequel to 2010 blockbuster ‘Enthiran’ marks Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar’s Tamil debut.
According to Indian movie industry tracker Ramesh Bala, “@superstarrajini – @akshaykumar ‘s #2Point0 will be dubbed in Chinese and will be released in 10,000 to 15,000 screens in #China (sic).”
Aamir’s ‘Dangal’ had created waves at the Chinese Box Office a few months back. The film went on to break a number of records to make to the list of the biggest films to release in China. And Prabhas’ Baahubali, which turned out to be the first Indian film to cross the Rs 1000 crore mark, is yet to release in China. According to the buzz, it looks likely that the second half of the two-part film will release in December.
Going by Bala’s tweet, Rajini’s ‘2.0’ could turn out to be the biggest Indian film ever!
Moreover, it will be interesting to see Rajini and Akshay together in a film for the first time.
We are thrilled – how about you?
