Rajinikanth thanks fans on completing 45 years in cinema: I won’t be here if not for you

Superstar Rajinikanth is moved by his fans’ love for him as he is about to complete 45 years in cinema. He took to Twitter to thank his loyal fans for celebrating his theatrical journey on social media with an emotional note. On August 15, Rajinikanth will complete 45 years in Indian cinema and his fans have made actors in South India release a Common Display Picture (CDP) on the micro-blogging site.

Rajinikanth made his debut in Tamil cinema with director K Balachander’s Aboorva Raganangal, which released on August 15, 1975. This year, he will complete 45 years in cinema. In 45 years, he has acted in over 160 films in multiple languages.

Overwhelmed by his fans’ love, Rajinikanth penned a note on Twitter in Tamil. His tweet is translated as, “On this day, which marks the forty fifth anniversary of my theatrical journey, my heartfelt thanks go out to all the good hearts who greeted me and to the fan base of the gods who keep me alive. I won’t be here if not for you. (sic).”
